2026 PLECF Scholarship


Founded in 1997, Phi Lambda Educational and Community Foundation, Inc., a 501(C)3 tax-exempt organization, was established to provide an environment that actively supports the advancement of education and to facilitate the implementation of many nationally recognized programs. The mission of the Foundation is to implement academic and life skills programs that promote a holistic approach to the success of socio-economically disadvantaged and underserved youth and families in Southeast Raleigh and Wake County. Each year the Foundation awards worthy African American Male high school seniors residing in Wake or Johnson Counties scholarships.   The eligibility requirements and application requirements are below.  Please apply online via the link below and download the application sheet to be uploaded during the online application completion.

Eligibility: African-American male high school seniors residing and attending school in Wake or Johnston Counties with good scholastic and leadership records are eligible for the scholarships. Students selected to receive a $1,000.00 scholarship must be accepted to a four-year college or university before the scholarship is awarded.

Procedure: A student must submit a formal online application to be considered for this scholarship.

The application sheets must be completed with the endorsements of his principal or high school guidance counselor, a teacher, and a community leader.
All 3 should be uploaded during application completion online.The application must include a 350-word essay, that will be uploaded as well.COMING SOON!
All applicants will be required to register for the
National Black Scholars Signing Day Program.
