Founded in 1997, the Phi Lambda Educational and Community Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization established to advance education and bring nationally recognized programs to our community.
The mission of the Foundation is to deliver academic and life-skills programs that promote a holistic approach to the success of socio-economically disadvantaged and underserved youth and families in Southeast Raleigh and Wake County. Each year, the Foundation awards scholarships to deserving African-American male high school seniors residing in Wake or Johnston Counties.
Eligibility
African-American male high school seniors residing in and attending school in Wake or Johnston Counties, with good scholastic and leadership records, are eligible. Students selected to receive the $1,000 scholarship must be accepted to a four-year college or university before the scholarship is awarded.

The sheets must include endorsements from the applicant's principal or high-school guidance counselor, a teacher, and a community leader. All three are uploaded during online completion.

All applicants are required to register for the National Black Scholars Signing Day Program.

Interviews for finalists
Finalists will be contacted with interview dates.
